Farming and horticulture

Dedicated vans for feed, seed, plants, machinery parts and produce, to farms and nurseries across the UK.

We move:

  • Rural addresses. We deliver to every UK postcode, including farms and nurseries off the main roads.
  • Tail-lift on every Luton van. Pallets of feed, seed or compost lowered to the ground in the yard.
  • Urgent parts in season. Machinery parts collected within 30 to 60 minutes when harvest cannot wait.
  • Plants travel alone. One load per vehicle, so trolleys of plants are not stacked against other freight.

What farming and horticulture customers move with us

Farms, growers and nurseries move pallets of feed, seed, fertiliser and compost, trolleys of plants, trays of produce, fencing, irrigation kit and parts for tractors and harvesters. Timing is set by the season and the weather, not by office hours. We run 25 vans up to 3.5 tonnes, from Smethwick to every UK postcode, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Farm yards and nurseries often have a telehandler somewhere, but not always where the van is. Our tail-lift and pallet truck unload at ground level. Some agricultural chemicals are dangerous goods, and four of our drivers hold full ADR, with goods carried in line with the UK road regulations and declared in writing before booking. Each job is one load on one vehicle, so plants are not crushed by someone else's pallets.

How a booking works

To book, enter the postcodes for an instant price on van routes. Ready now gives a collection within 30 to 60 minutes, which matters when a breakdown stops a harvest. Book in advance covers planned moves of plants or produce to a market or garden centre. Our operations team confirms the driver and tracks the van by GPS. A photo and a signature are taken at delivery.

Have ready the exact yard or gate location, since rural postcodes often cover a wide area, a mobile number for someone on site, the number and weight of pallets or trolleys, and whether the goods need to be kept upright or shaded. For chemicals, send the Safety Data Sheet, UN number and quantity before booking.

Farming and horticulture delivery FAQ

Can you find a farm with a vague postcode?

Yes, with your help. Give us a what3words reference, a landmark or directions from the nearest road, and a phone number for someone on site.

Do you carry live plants?

Yes, on trolleys or in trays in a dedicated van. We do not have temperature control, so tell us if the plants are sensitive to heat or cold and we will plan the timing.

Can you carry agricultural chemicals?

Yes, where they are classed as dangerous goods, with ADR-trained drivers and in line with the UK road regulations. Declare them in writing before booking.

Can you collect a tractor part from a dealer today?
