Who we are
UK Pro Deliveries Limited (“UPD”, “we”) is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Registered in England and Wales, Company No. 15717212, registered office 97 Holly Lane, Smethwick B67 7LB.
The personal data collected
We collect personal data when you ask for a price, book a job, contact us, apply for an account or a job, or request a proof of delivery. This includes your name, company, phone number, email address, the collection and delivery addresses and contacts, and the details of the goods and the job. When you use the website we also receive your IP address, which we use briefly to protect the site from spam and abuse.
How we use your data
We use personal data to reply to enquiries and prepare quotes, to carry out and invoice the jobs you book, to keep the records the law requires, to run and protect the website, and to tell existing customers about our services.
Promotional communications
We may contact existing customers by email or phone about services similar to those they have used. You can opt out at any time by replying to any message or emailing info@uk-upd.co.uk. We do not use personalised banner advertising and we do not pass your details to other companies for their marketing.
Sharing data with third parties
We share personal data only with the service providers we need to run the business: IT and website hosting, email, address lookup and routing, vehicle tracking, customer records, accountants and insurers. Each provider acts on our instructions and must keep the data secure and use it only to provide the service. We never sell or rent personal data.
International transfers
Some providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement with approved contract clauses.
How long we keep your data
Enquiries that do not become work are deleted after 24 months. Records of jobs, invoices and accounts are kept for six years, the longest we normally hold any personal data.
How we protect your data
The website and our systems use encrypted connections, access limited to the staff who need it, and hosting with UK or adequacy-covered providers. Website enquiries are stored in encrypted storage before they reach our transport management system.
Legal basis for using your data
We rely on the performance of a contract and the steps you ask us to take before one, our legal obligations for accounting and tax, and our legitimate interests in answering business enquiries, protecting the website and keeping in touch with customers. Where we rely on your consent you can withdraw it at any time.
Cookies
This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies. Our visitor statistics are collected without cookies and do not identify you. The spam protection on our forms may set a short-lived technical cookie. See the cookie page.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, and ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Email info@uk-upd.co.uk and we reply within one month.
