Van driver (3.5 t Luton)

About the role

UK Pro Deliveries runs 25 vans up to 3.5 tonnes from Smethwick, West Midlands, carrying pallets, parts and equipment for UK businesses. Every job is dedicated: one load, one van, never co-loaded. You collect, drive and deliver, and the office handles the planning, the customer and the paperwork around you.

The work is a mix of same-day jobs, where you collect within an hour of booking, and planned runs booked a day or more ahead. Routes cover every UK postcode, so some days you are back in the yard by lunch and others you are on a long run with a night out.

We take on drivers on a self-employed or employed basis, depending on what suits you and the work available. Either way you drive a company van, get your jobs from the office through the TMS, and are paid for the work you do, not for sitting in a queue. Tell us which basis you prefer when you apply.

What you will do

• Collect and deliver dedicated loads on time, UK-wide
• Operate the tail-lift and pallet truck safely at kerbside
• Check goods against the booking at collection and report any damage before loading
• Take a photo and signed proof of delivery on every job
• Keep the van clean, fuelled and defect-checked each day
• Keep in touch with the office by phone or WhatsApp during the job
• Follow drivers' hours, road safety and site rules

What you need

• Full UK driving licence held for at least 2 years, with no more than 6 points
• Experience driving a 3.5t Luton or similar on commercial work
• Comfortable with tail-lift and pallet truck handling
• Reliable, polite with customers and happy to work early, late or weekend shifts
• Right to work in the UK
• Based within reach of Smethwick, West Midlands
